Educational Programs

Our parish family offers many opportunities to grow in faith and in the spiritual life.

ECF (Eastern Christian Formation) is a program for children aged 5 to 16 developed as a cooperative effort by the various Eastern Catholic eparchies in America.  Using texts from the God With Us series, we share our tradition with our precious children – the future of our Church. Christopher Davel, an ordained lector, heads the ECF program.  Other teachers include Mr. Robin Roxas and Mr. Christopher Warner, both of whom are teachers at Trinity Academy.

Our Men's Study Group meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.  For the last few months we have been doing an in-depth study of the Ten Commandments.  Each session begins with a talk, followed by discussion on the topic. Father Philaret Littlefield is the moderator. A new series will begin in April.  Topic to be announced!

St. Anne’s Ladies Society offers an opportunity for the women of the parish to learn about our faith and our traditions while they also support the various needs of the parish. Our women's group is dedicated to St. Anne, the mother of the Theotokos and grandmother of Our Lord. Besides regular meetings each month, we get together to clean and decorate the church and also to socialize and support one another as sisters in Christ.  See the calendar for upcoming events.

Adult Education Series:  various series on scripture, church history, spirituality, etc. are offered throughout the year.  They meet in evening sessions every other week. Eastern Christian Formation for adults meets twice each month.  Currently Christopher Warner is presenting a detailed history of the early Church on the second Wednesday, and  Fr. Philaret is presenting a study on the relationship among the Eastern and Western Churches during the first millenium on the fourth Wednesday.  The group meets at 7:00 p.m. in the church hall.

Parish Library.  We have a valuable resource in our parish library, which includes books, videos, periodicals and audio on every aspect of Eastern Christian spiritual life, traditions, history, the writings of the Fathers, etc.  Registered parish members have free use of the library, with materials loaned out on the “honor system.”
